Thousands of enthusiasts in the stands and paddock of Circuito Estoril experienced the best emotions at the start of the Porsche C6 Bank Endurance Challenge. It was 300 km of great emotion that was decided by just 0.299s.

This Saturday, June 22 marked the return of the Porsche Cup Brasil to Estoril and it was the duo Werner Neugebauer and Rubens Barrichello who, after winning Pole, also achieved victory with the #8 Porsche. It was the former F1 driver’s first victory and by such a small margin over the duo Enzo Elias and Marçal Muller.

The champion duo of the 2023 Championship, Miguel Paludo and Alan Hellmeister, took the checkered flag in third place, 2.301 behind Barrichello’s car. The podium was completed by car #111, of Dudu Barrichello and Pipe Bartz, and the #70 of Lucas Salles and Rafael Suzuki.

In the Challenge class, dominance was absolute for the Porsche crewed by Sadak Leite and Fabio Carbone. In the “Carrera” championships there was a fight for victory until the end. Sharing the wheel with Rouman Ziemkiewicz in car #80, Nelson Piquet Jr managed to overtake and take victory over Luiz Razia on the final lap. One lap earlier, Nicolas Costa overtook Eduardo Menossi to triumph in the Carrera Rookie).

Among the Challenges, the victories went to Porsche #44, owned by Giuliano Bertucelli and Pietro Rimbano (Sport), and #999, owned by Claudio Reina and João Gonçalves (Rookie).

With 80 drivers distributed in 40 cars, the race was exciting from the first meter, with formidable performances from the Portuguese Antonio Félix da Costa and Nicolas Costa, who set the best lap of the race.

On the weekend of June 29/30, 24, the Porsche Cup Brasil returns to Estoril, this time to compete in the fourth stage of the 2024 Sprint season. There will be four more races in Portugal that promise once again fantastic days in the Estoril.
