ESTORIL CNV#3 \u2013 Champions’ Sunday in Estoril<\/strong><\/p>\n

After the first day of competition in the return of the Campeonato Nacional de Velocidade (CNV) to the Estoril Circuit for the 4th round of this season (3rd visit to Estoril), it was a wintry Sunday morning that welcomed the drivers and teams for the second day of the sporting calendar. Rain and fog would dictate wet-track conditions for the warm-up in the various categories, forcing drivers and teams to rethink their entire race strategy and change their setup from the previous day. Expectations and some anxiety were evident in the pits, especially for some drivers given the importance of this stage for the various championships and trophies.<\/p>\n

MOTO 4 \/ MOTO 5<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Tom\u00e1s Carneiro secures a one-two finish in MOTO 4 \/ Tom\u00e1s Garcia dos Santos enjoys a perfect weekend<\/strong><\/p>\n

After warming up in wet track conditions, the brave young MOTO 4 and MOTO 5 riders lined up their machines again for the first race of the day. Following yesterday’s victory and the fastest time in the morning warm-up, Tom\u00e1s Carneiro (MOTO 4) once again took his place in the middle of the front row of the grid. Pole position was, as it was yesterday, held by Samuel Di Maria. Rounding out the front row was the leader in the MOTO 5 class, Tom\u00e1s Garcia dos Santos.<\/p>\n

A wet track for the start of the MOTO 4 and MOTO 5 field, with Tom\u00e1s Carneiro being the strongest braking for Turn 1, relegating a disgruntled Samuel Di Maria to 2nd place. Diego Ribeiro (MOTO5) surprised Tom\u00e1s Garcia dos Santos in 3rd place. In the women’s category, the young riders from F\u00e1bio Racing Team, Lara Pinto and Carolina Azevedo, suffered crashes on the second lap, with Lara Pinto returning to the track and Carolina Azevedo retiring.<\/p>\n

After five of the scheduled ten laps, Carneiro led by more than 30 seconds over Di Maria, who was dealing with the challenging conditions at Estoril. Further back, Santos and Ribeiro battled for third place overall and the lead in the MOTO5 class, with Jo\u00e3o Cancelinha waiting in the wings for an opportunity. In the checkered team, Tom\u00e1s Carneiro added another victory to his list of achievements, setting the fastest lap of the race and securing a one-two finish in a perfect weekend. Samuel Di Maria finished more than 1:16m behind Carneiro and took 2nd in the class. In the MOTO5 class, Ribeiro and Santos battled to the finish line with narrow gaps between them. On the final pass, Santos took the lead. He won the class and was 3rd overall. Rounding out the top three and completing the class podium were Diego Ribeiro and Jo\u00e3o Cancelinha. One last highlight for Lara Pinto who, after falling on the 2nd lap and returning to the track, finished in a very honorable 7th place overall.<\/p>\n

SSP300 \/ PREMOTO3<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Afonso Almeida Untouchable in PREMOTO3 \/ Vasco Camoesas Crowned National Champion in SSP300<\/strong><\/p>\n

Second race of the day for the SSP300 and PREMOTO3, also in wet-track conditions. Afonso Almeida, victorious yesterday at Estoril in PREMOTO3, was once again on pole for Sunday’s race. Alongside him, Alexandre Cab\u00e1 (PREMOTO3), who missed Saturday’s qualifying session due to mechanical issues, took his place this time. Rounding out the front row was Gon\u00e7alo Santos (PREMOTO3). Vasco Camoesas, the championship leader in SSP300, was in 6th place on the grid, and this was also a decisive race for him. Camoesas had a chance to be crowned champion at Estoril. In the same class, Rafaela Peixoto once again placed her Kawasaki in 17th place on the grid.<\/p>\n

Tiago Martins (PREMOTO3) made a brutal start, jumping from 7th to 1st under braking for Estoril’s Turn 1. However, the BEON rider’s start was of little use, as earlier in Turn 3, Afonso Almeida, not letting his own reputation rest on his laurels, took the lead and immediately opened up a few meters of lead. Martins was thus relegated to 2nd place overall. Alexandre Cab\u00e1, on the other hand, with a less successful start, lost ground to his two rivals and lapped in 3rd place. In the SSP300 class, Rodrigo Asensio, 9th on the grid, made an excellent start and led the way, lapping in 5th place overall. Camoesas dropped to 8th place with Martim Garcia at his wheel.<\/p>\n

With three laps completed, Cab\u00e1 completed his overtaking of Tiago Martins, taking 2nd place overall and in the PREMOTO3 category, but the gap to Afonso Almeida was already too great (11 seconds) for the Honda Talent rider to dream of victory. The race was tight, with the PREMOTO3 category occupying the top 5 places overall. Meanwhile, Vasco Camoesas (SSP300) was trying to catch Asensio, but the gap remained at 2 seconds, with the Spaniard ahead. Rafaela Peixoto moved up the standings and was 10th overall. Alexandre Cab\u00e1 (PREMOTO3) entered the final lap with a herculean effort in an attempt to catch Afonso Almeida (PREMOTO3). The gap between the two was closing, but it felt like it would be a difficult one. In the SSP300, Asensio managed 0.110s ahead of Camoesas, and Rafaela Peixoto, with an exemplary race from back to front, took 8th place and 3rd in class.<\/p>\n

The checkered flag for Afonso Almeida in the PREMOTO3, joining the other riders with a one-two finish this weekend. Cab\u00e1 was content with 2nd place overall and in class, and Marco Holt rounded out his performance on the podium. The battle between Asensio and Camoesas went down to the final corners of the Estoril circuit, with Camoesas proving his championship lead, overtaking Asensio and winning by a mere 0.115 seconds, becoming the 2025 SSP300 National Champion. Rafaela Peixoto was also smiling on the podium. Starting from 17th on the grid, she finished 8th overall and 3rd in the class. Celebrations and joy were rife among the TEAMRP27 rider’s team.<\/p>\n

NAKED BIKES TROPHY<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Lu\u00eds Ferreira double victory in CNV#3 Estoril \/ Bottoglieri wins Naked Bike 2 Trophy 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fr\u00e9d\u00e8ric Bottoglieri, undisputed winner yesterday in NB1, was a man with a broad smile this morning. And he had reason to smile, as scoring points today was enough to celebrate the 2025 national title.<\/p>\n

The starting grid featured the same lineup as Saturday, as a result of timed qualifying, with Lu\u00eds Ferreira (NB1) on pole. In the same class and alongside him, Lu\u00eds Franco lined up, with the front row of the grid being filled by another potential 2025 champion, NB2 leader Fr\u00e9d\u00e8ric Bottoglieri. Ricardo Almeida, in 4th, rounded out the top three in NB1, and needed to drop back down to 9th and 10th on the grid to find 2nd and 3rd in NB2, Marcos Leal and Anselmo Vilardebo.<\/p>\n

A clean start, now free of rain, saw Lu\u00eds Ferreira (NB1) take the lead, followed by Ricardo Almeida (NB1). Hot on the heels of the leading duo, and with his sights set on the title, was Fr\u00e9d\u00e8ric Bottoglieri (NB2), who saw his direct class rivals in 9th (Marcos Leal) and 10th (Anselmo Vilardebo). Gradually, Lu\u00eds Ferreira opened up a gap over Almeida, and by lap 7, he was already 13 seconds ahead. Bottoglieri was cruising within sight of Almeida, heading for the 2025 Trophy title in NB2. Lu\u00eds Franco (NB1), meanwhile, relegated to 4th overall and 3rd in class, found himself neck and neck with Nuno Farias. Lu\u00eds Ferreira also crossed the finish line, adding his name to the group of drivers with two victories in this, CNV’s, 3rd time at Estoril. Ricardo Almeida finished in 2nd overall and in class. Lu\u00eds Franco (4th overall) was on the podium alongside Ferreira and Almeida.<\/p>\n

Bottoglieri was the man of the moment and celebrated winning the 2025 NB2 Trophy. Alongside him on the podium were Marcos Leal and Anselmo Vilardebo, 9th and 10th overall.<\/p>\n

SBK \/ DUNLOP MOTOVAL CUP \/ STK600<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A 100% victorious rider this season in SBK, Sheridan Rodrigues once again took his place on pole for the start of Sunday’s final race. Alongside him was another SBK rider, Ricardo Lopes. Rounding out the front row of the grid was the first STK600 rider, Martim Jesus. Dany Soares, the best in the CDM2, started from 8th, and Wagner Pederneira, the current leader in the CDM1, was 18th. The final race of the weekend’s sports program kicked off, with Sheridan Morais (SBK) leading the way, but Ricardo Lopes (SBK) trailing closely. Meanwhile, Capote, Navarro, and Martim Jesus battled for third place overall. In the CDM1 category, Wagner Pederneira was in 11th place, and Dany Soares battled with Vasco Silva for sixth and seventh. A race without much history in terms of leadership. A true “walk in the park” for Morais, who with another uncontested victory maintained his 100% victory in WorldSBK in 2025 and crowned him the 2025 National Superbike Champion. On the podium alongside him once again was Ricardo Lopes (5th overall), who saw all chances of fighting for the title squandered this weekend. Rounding out the podium and the Top 3 in WorldSBK was Daniel Coelho.<\/p>\n

In the STK600 class, Jacobo Navarro, who finished 2nd overall, won the class and was joined on the podium by Gon\u00e7alo Capote and Martim Jesus, who finished 3rd and 4th overall, respectively. Wagner Pederneira was the standout once again in the DUNLOP MOTOVAL 1 CUP (CDM1) with another impressive victory that solidified his title drive. Manuel Teixeira and Tiago Lopes rounded out the top three in the class and their respective podium finishes. In the CDM2 class, Dany Soares continued his excellent performance on Saturday, securing another victory, with Vasco Silva and S\u00e9rgio Fajardo joining the Yamaha 1000 rider on the podium.<\/p>\n
