The reigning Moto4 and Moto5 Champions entered the 2023 season on the right foot by securing victory in each of the classes in the first race of the year after dominating performances.

Pedrinho Matos had already given very strong indications of what he was coming for by taking pole position with an advantage of more than a second over the other competitors. Not satisfied, and always with a different pace, Matos rode like a master at the controls of the MIR150 to lead from start to finish.

Alexandre Cabá, on a Beon 150, found himself unable to stand up to his rival, losing, on average, more than two seconds per lap to finish isolated in the middle of the podium, 25.488s ahead. Behind him was Gonçalo Melo. Unlike the first two, who maintained their positions on the grid from the beginning to the end of the ten laps of the race, Melo had a more difficult race. Third at the start, the driver of the other MIR150 dropped to fourth at the start and only on his fifth pass across the finish line was he able to prevail over Tiago João and regain the lowest spot on the podium, a position in which he finished, already almost 35 seconds behind. the winner and with just under two seconds of margin for João.

Meanwhile, in Moto5 the course of the race was similar. Lourenço Vicente was always an isolated leader, to triumph without difficulty and with practically 55 seconds to spare for Martim Lourenço. Guilherme Moreira was one lap away, at the bottom of the podium.
